This year, we are putting a twist to our fundraising for Gavin’s Groupies. This past Thanksgiving, we did a little experiment. We turned off the lights, and about 20 of my family members ate our dessert in the dark. On this holiday, we decided to bring a little of Gavin’s world into our world. We had some tears, laughs but most importantly, we all walked away from the table having experienced something we never have before.

We want to bring this experience to you.

We invite you to “A Night without Light” dinner. A homemade delicious dinner, cooked with love by Gavin’s grandma. You will be enjoying this dinner, in complete darkness. Our family is so excited to share this with you. You will for sure walk away with hopefully an experience you will never forget. Visually impaired and blind individuals live in our sighted world, let’s take an evening to experience their world, and enjoy a nice meal while doing so.

Your $20 donation is your ticket to this experience. Donate at least $20 to Gavin’s Groupies for the 2010 VisionWalk and you can have a place at the dinner table and experience “A Night without Light.” Your donation will go towards our team, and our fight for a cure for blindness. You can make payment right on our team page, and know that all of your money is going to a great cause. Donating to a great organization, helping us in our fight for a cure for our precious Gavin, as well as receiving a wonderful dinner….. what better way to spend a few hours!

Dinner will take place at Gavin’s grandparents beautiful home in Chino Hills. Your $20 donation will cover:

  • Salad
  • Dinner (vegetarian option)
  • Dessert
  • Drinks and Wine
  • An official Gavin’s Groupies wristband
  • A personalized Braille name card
  • Informative Cocktail hour (30 min before dinner; these cocktails additional cost)

Click here for reservations or more information. Dinner nights are Friday, Saturday and Sunday May 14, 15, and 16. Times TBA.

*Children allowed if you feel they will not be scared in darkness during the dinner for approximately 35 minutes. We would like this part of the dinner to be non-disruptive or a scary experience for anyone.
